If a pear fully ripens on the tree, the chances are high that the sugars will crystallize and the texture will totally change. that is why it won’t get ripe on the tree. If you want to ripen your pear faster, both it in a bowl together with a banana or wrap it in a brown paper bag. A fully ripe pear is perfect for baby food and can be stored in the refrigerated either in puree form or in whole fruit form.
Why choose organic
As with many other fruits, the skin of pears is rich with vitamins and other nutrients which can greatly benefit your baby’s health. Many of these nutrients are in the skin so it is therefore that some parents prefer to leave the skin on the fruit when making baby food. I suggest you only leave the skin when you are using organic pears. It is the only way to ensure that your baby does not consume any harmful pesticides. Do keep in mind that if you do not like to puree your fruit but want it in small chunks that it is best to peel the pear. for it can pose as a choking hazard for babies who have difficulties with digestion.
